It’s important to periodically check the condition of your capstan as well as your warp and chain for signs of deterioration. Be sure to examine your capstan’s motor and terminals. If there is any sign of corrosion or you’ve noticed changes in your capstan’s performance, contact the Tristram Service Centre team for advice. If your warp is in good condition but is slipping in the capstan when launching or retrieving, try tightening your capstan clutch with the provided tool, or schedule a booking with the Tristram Technicians to have your capstan serviced.

Battery Isolating switches are fitted for your safety and to control battery charging and current draw circuits. The start isolator controls the engine and capstan circuits while the house isolator switches on all dash electronics. The Emergency Parallel switch should only be used when the start battery cannot start the engine alone. It is important to give your engine a thorough once over to check these fluid levels and for any signs of debris or leaks.
