TRISTRAM TECH TIP / Stainless Steel Care

All Tristram’s are fitted with premium quality marine grade 316 Stainless steel. From your bowrail to bimini, to every handle and rod holder, this grade of stainless steel is used. It is important to wipe over your stainless with a wet towel to remove any saltwater spots which could form ‘tea stains’. If you are looking to add some more shine to your Tristram contact the Tristram Service Centre for a quote today.

TRISTRAM TECH TIP / Battery Isolating Switches

Battery Isolating switches are fitted for your safety and to control battery charging and current draw circuits. The start isolator controls the engine and capstan circuits while the house isolator switches on all dash electronics. The Emergency Parallel switch should only be used when the start battery cannot start the engine alone. For more information about your isolating switches, please contact the Tristram Service Centre.

TRISTRAM TECH TIP / Sterndrive Flushing

Flushing your sterndrive engine is vital for engine longevity and to preserve internal components of your engine. Use the flush fitting on your sterndrive to flush out saltwater deposits after each use. The engine should be run for at least 10 minutes to ensure fresh water has made its way through the system. If you have noticed any cooling issues or have any other questions about your sterndrive engine, contact the Tristram Service Centre today.

TRISTRAM TECH TIP / Pre-Travel Checks

Pre-travel checks are always important to avoid any unwanted accidents on your way to and from the boat ramp. Checking your tyres are inflated to the correct pressure as well as confirming your wheel nuts are tight before departing. If you have any questions regarding your trailer, contact the Tristram Service Centre for some friendly advice.
