Meet Mike, Production Manager
Mike joined Tristram Marine in 2003 as an apprentice and has grown with the company ever since. After learning the craft from the ground up and completing NZ Marine training programmes and qualifications, he now leads our production team as Production Manager.
Mike oversees the entire boat-building process, ensuring every Tristram leaves our factory to the high standards our owners expect. He is also passionate about developing the next generation of boat builders, mentoring apprentices and helping team members continue to grow their skills and careers.
In recognition of his leadership, Mike was awarded the inaugural NZ Marine Dale Carnegie Scholarship, giving him the opportunity to further develop his management and leadership capabilities.
Mike works closely with new owners during the handover process, helping them feel confident, informed, and ready to enjoy their new boat from day one.
Together with his wife Melina, our Boat Parts & Insurance Manager, Mike is deeply involved in the Tristram community. As owners of a Tristram 640 Cabriolet themselves, they understand the ownership experience from both sides and share a genuine passion for helping fellow Tristram owners get the most from their time on the water.
Having spent more than two decades with the company, Mike’s knowledge, commitment to quality, and dedication to the team continue to play an important role in Tristram Marine’s success.
