September’s @boatingnz magazine features a great article on boat ramp etiquette aptly titled “Mind your piers and queues”. As our boat ramps become increasingly busy towards summer we encourage each and every one of you to familiarise yourself with the concepts in this article which include pre-launch prep, trailer reversing tips, lane etiquette, the order in which to do things, retrieving your boat, solo-boating and trailer parking / security. If we can speed things up at the ramp and cause the least delays possible everyone can get out on the water and enjoy the longer and warmer days ahead!
