Join New Zealand’s Leading Premium Trailer Boat Manufacturer

Tristram Marine has been building premium offshore trailer boats in Hamilton since 1987. Our reputation has been built on innovation, precision craftsmanship and an uncompromising commitment to quality.

We are looking for a Fibreglass Laminator to join our experienced production team and contribute to the manufacture of Tristram’s premium range of trailer boats.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role within our fibreglass production team. You will be involved in the laminating of key structural components used throughout our boats, working with high-quality materials and established production processes.

Attention to detail is essential. Every part produced contributes to the strength, finish and overall quality of the completed boat, so we are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship and understands the importance of getting the details right.

While this is not a customer-facing role, we expect every member of our team to keep the end customer in mind. The quality of your work ultimately contributes to the reliability, finish and experience our owners enjoy every time they take their Tristram out on the water.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing fibreglass hulls, decks, and components to Tristram Marine’s quality standards
  • Following established production processes and specifications
  • Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Working efficiently as part of the wider production team

  • Is reliable, proactive and enthusiastic
  • Can work efficiently towards production schedules and deadlines
  • Understands how individual workmanship contributes to the quality of the finished product and the customer experience
  • Has an interest in boats, boating or the marine industry
  • Is willing and able to work overtime during peak production periods, including occasional Saturday mornings when required
  • Has the legal right to work in New Zealand

What we Offer

  • Full-time, permanent employment with an established New Zealand boat manufacturer
  • 8-hour workdays, Monday to Friday with occasional overtime
  • A modern, purpose-built manufacturing environment
